Effective Date: November 16, 2025

This Privacy Policy describes how an independent developer (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information in connection with your use of the Focus Rewards mobile application (the “App”).

2. Information We Collect and Its Purpose

The App is designed to minimize data collection. We only collect data necessary for app functionality, diagnostics, and compliance.

2.1. Categories of Personal Information Collected

Data Type Collected? (Yes/No) Examples & CCPA Categories Purpose
Identifiers Yes IP Address (via Firebase), Device ID For diagnostics, crash reporting, and distinguishing users for A/B testing.
Financial/Purchase Data Yes Subscription Status, Purchase History To validate and manage your Apple In-App Subscriptions.
Usage Data Yes App launches, screens visited, feature interaction To diagnose crashes, analyze performance, and improve the user experience.
Coarse Location Data Yes Country/City derived from IP Address Used for general trend analysis (e.g., “Where is the app most popular?”) and legal compliance.
User Content No User-generated content (e.g., custom modes, rewards) is stored locally only on your device. Not collected or transmitted by us.

2.2. Location Data Clarification

We do not collect precise geographical location (GPS). However, Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics automatically collect and process the user’s IP address, which is used to infer a Coarse Location (city and country) for diagnostic and analytics purposes.

We use third-party services for essential app management.

3.1. Third-Party Services

We utilize the following Google Firebase services. These services operate under their own privacy policies:

  • Firebase Analytics (Usage Data, Coarse Location): Collects anonymized data on app usage, product interaction, and performance. Privacy Policy
  • Firebase Crashlytics (Diagnostics, Identifiers): Collects non-personal crash logs, stack traces, and device state information to diagnose and fix technical bugs. Privacy Policy
  • Firebase Remote Config/A/B Testing (Usage Data): Used to change the behavior and appearance of the app and to run A/B tests and feature flags. This uses non-personal device identifiers to segment users into different testing groups. Privacy Policy

For more information about how Google handles data collected through Firebase services, please review Google’s Privacy Policy.

3.2. Apple’s App Tracking Transparency (ATT)

If, in the future, we decide to use data for purposes defined as “Tracking” under Apple’s guidelines (e.g., linking your data with third-party data for targeted advertising), we will first present you with the native Apple tracking consent popup (ATT) and will only proceed if you provide explicit consent.

4. Financial and Transaction Data

When you purchase an Apple In-App Subscription, the transaction is processed entirely by Apple’s App Store payment system. We do not receive or store your credit card details, billing address, or other sensitive payment information.

We receive notification from Apple regarding the status of your subscription (e.g., purchase date, expiration date, and which product was purchased) solely to verify and manage your access to paid features within the App.

5. GDPR Compliance for EU/EEA/UK Users

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, the following terms apply:

We process your Personal Data on the basis of Legitimate Interests for the purposes of:

  • Analyzing usage to improve the user experience and feature set.
  • Processing financial data necessary for the performance of the subscription contract.

5.2. International Data Transfers

The data collected is stored on servers provided by Apple and Google (Firebase), which may be located outside of the EU/EEA. When we transfer your data internationally, we ensure it is protected by implementing appropriate safeguards, such as reliance on the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) or other legally required mechanisms.

5.3. Your Data Protection Rights (GDPR)

You have the right to:

  • Access your Personal Data.
  • Rectification of inaccurate data.
  • Erasure of your data (the “right to be forgotten”).
